You can get it fixed, but it's going to require the experience of a TV Tech....preferably an RCA authorized Tech.
No fixit yourself here on this model.

You understand " basic theory " of 3D display. but
please understand between 2D and 3D TV
1 ) because of 3D effect , the display panel eight LED ( LCD-LED BACK-LIGHT ) display panel or PDP Plasma display panel are totally difference in specifications and designs in some area.
those display panel use for 2D TV unable to use for 3D models.
2 ) to support 3D display also 3D effect . the TV Video Amplifier circuit and processing are totally difference .is mean the Video Amplifier processing is 3D capable desings , and always by TV maker very own designs to work with selected display panel. you unable to " change " any things also or added software .
keep in mind .
any other " in-put " source via HDMI or other , you still need to pass though TV OWN VIDEO PROCESSING ( Video Amplifier ) than go to display panel .
you " basic " ideal is " good " , but is not work. before go " deep " in 3D TV. you should understand standard 2D TV , how the Video processing and display panel work and the " connection " between .
