Difference between 3D in theaters and 3D in a pc?


How is it possible that in the movie theater we just wear normal stereoscopic lenses and when we want to watch something in 3D in our pcs we need to buy flashing lenses which need infrared emitters and all that stuf (Nvidia 3D Vision)...
Is there a way to watch things in 3D with the glases from the movies in my pc?

No, movie theatres actually have two projectors: one with polarized light spinning one way, and the other spinning the other way. A TV can't do this so it has to be done another way.
