3d Videos For 3d Glasses what are some things to look at with the up 3D glasses?
like videos and/or pictures.
yeah i already looked on youtube and google and stuff, but they're all for the legit blue and red 3d glasses, which i don't have.
The problem with 3d glasses from the theater with both lenses the same being tinted like weak sunglasses is how that 3d format works. That 3d is called polarized. The theater must buy a special 3d projector and what it can do is project two different light waves. In 3d you have double images, one for each eye. So all the left eye image have one light wave and all the right eye images the other light wave. Then the polarized glasses block and unblock each light wave.
Now with your television of monitor there is a problem. Their pixels where not made to put out two different light waves, only one. That is why for tv they always resort to anaglyph 3d that uses the blue and red glasses. That 3d format uses those colors to block and unblock the double images. Therefore all you need it a color tv to use it.
To get polarized like 3d on television the manufactures are going to have to go a different route and use field sequential 3d. That works by having shutter glasses where one lens opens while the other one closes and they do this back and forth very fast. Then the image for that eye will flash on the screen when that lens is open. In the 90's I had a field sequential 3d system that worked with the old tube televisions. They plan to come out with them for the lcd plasma televisions in a year or two.

Looking directly at the Sun under ordinary circumstances is a surefire way to damage your eyes. However, people want to look at an eclipse. During totality this is perfectly safe since you have a 2160 mile rock blocking the Sun (our Moon). During partial phases people use various methods to dim the Sun to make it safe. Welder's glasses are among the best but other thingsw can be used. Not, however, ordinary sunglasses. You need to block 99.999% of Sunlight (no joking). 5.0 neutral density filters, used in some forms of photography will do the job, and people have been known to mount them in eyeglass frames.
