How do I know if my camera and camcorder charger will work in a different country?
I have a cannon camera and sony camcorder. This summer I'm visiting a country where the voltage is 220. How can I find out if the chargers will work over there or I'll need to buy an adaptor?
Your chargers are designed to operate with 120 volt system.
You will need to get an adaptor (step-down transformer) so the 220 volt system will not burn up your chargers. Also, the 220volt countries use a 50 cycle instead of 60 cycle system. This will not affect your chargers, but if you try to run your equipment directly from a wall socket, they will run slower. If you just use them on battery power all the time, no problem.

What to watch out for when buying a camera or camcorder?
I was going to buy a digital camera or a camcorder because i wanted to make some internet videos with the quality of ppl being able to see me. It's just gonna be posted on youtube and before i go buy a digital camera or a camcorder, i wanted to know what i should watch out for. Like what things should i watch when trying to buy one, like it's mega pixels or w.e things i should watch and know about.
If your gonna go for a camera make sure it has a fast shutter speed, it drove me crazy on my camera beacuse there was such a delay i would alway miss what i was tryign to take a pic of. As for video cameras..i have one and never use it, it would be cheaper for you to get a web cam if your only going to use it for posting videos on the web, that way too you dont have all the hassle of trying to transfer video from your camera to your computer!!

Most new generation of camcorders incorporate still photo taking functions. If you buy a camera camcorder combo, it would save you the trouble of bringing both a camera and a camcorder during your vacation. Buy a digital camera camcorder combination for convenience and save on getting two gadget for the price of one.
depending on how much the camcorder cost.. A lens is usually almost half if not more (depending on how high quality of a cam you've got) than the price of the actual body of the camcorder.. the lens can be expensive to replace..
Don’t buy memory cards unless you know whether she’s picky about the brand/size/speed. Also, it’s not much of a gift, it spells loudly “I had 5 minutes to get you a gift and grabbed first thing I saw so you better enjoy”. I’d recommend either [strap or wrist strap: / or
