What is reality to Americans today? And did we ever have a grasp of it?

In a nation defined by video games, reality TV and virtual friendships, with a White House that has perfected the art of politics as public relations, what is reality to Americans today? And did we ever have a grasp of it?

Its virtual reality for us. It seems sometimes we live inside our own minds. A psychosis, or the path of least resistance?

One of the other key areas for leveraging 3-D interactive virtual reality technologies within the healthcare market, is the ability for healthcare providers to give greater focus, education and services to patients. With the rising public interest in healthcare reform, healthcare organizations and related markets(medical device, pharmaceutical, etc.) are looking to not only improve their businesses through increased productivity, research and development and innovation, but are also looking to ensure that the patient's needs are met and expectations are exceeded. #d interactive and virtual reality technologies will play a significant role in bringing medical professionals and patients closer together and creating an environment of enhanced communication and collaboration.

I agree. I really loathe this crazy reverence of technology. That it will solve all our ills and not cause any harm. Facebook like other media like TV takes away from normal human communication. By normal, I mean direct communication unimpeded by an intermediary such as a “social” networking site. There are studies that show that Americans have less close friends today. And this all the while we have “Facebook brings people together” nonsense? Really, everything is superficial nowadays. How many people don’t respond to all the texts, calls, emails they get from their friends? Its over load and we have quantity over quality. Who really has 100+ real friends in real life? But on FB, you get 500, 1000, etc. Thats not reality and people should be depressed about living in a virtual reality…

i think they are saying people who spend a lot of time on Facebook, watching tv, playing video games, etc — don't have a life, so that makes them losers. I don't think that is true — everyone is different.
