well the only real problem is how invasive you would have to be in order to "prepare" your brain to receive such signals, also such a thing is tantamount to brain control when you think about it the general public will never support such a thing.
i think goggles and gloves would be have an easier time in the market place. but those are extremely outdated. so there's a ton of room for improvement.
When I used to go to the Arcade, my Buddies and me would go to the back room and play the game: “who can hold the smoke in longest.”
