Immersive Vr

How feasible is a real life matrix/holodeck?
It would seem at least possible. A real matrix -- a totally immersive computer simulated dream world: while not currently possible, what might the future hold for such technologies? Simulated worlds are no new concept. There was VR in the 80's, but it's kind lame. The closest thing we have to experiencing a matrix universe is lucid dreaming. But since lucid dreaming is possible, if only we could create that lucid state within a computer generated dream, It totally seems possible. Especially with nanotechnology. I've read articles where nano-bots could possibly accomplish this. I totally want a real matrix world! I love lucid dreaming when it happens, but they're hard to have, and they don't last very long. A matrix like game world seems like a future step. What do you think?
Aye, I too am a big fan of the lucid dream. Unfortunately I do stupid things like wake myself up to check the time if I've been in one for a while. With time and practice you learn to extend them. Try reminding yourself that you'll be dreaming shortly and be ready to become conscious in the dream. As for our matrix like technology fantasy, with the alarming rate at which technology advances I will not say it's impossible. As far as this technology being available at the consumer level, I don't see that happening. I see much potential for government regulations and restrictions. Still, never hurts to dream.

Complaining about the full immersive VR games their grandkids play, and just wanting to play their old PS5 games.
