I would recommend the Sansa cuz it has twice the memory for another $30 and it has the radio and it has a bigger screen and it has longer battery life. I have a Sansa 140 and it works great, good battery life good radio good sound quality. The only thing is it feels kinda fragile, not like an iPod that is metal on the bottom. And, sometimes either the Sansa or my computer screws up and "looses" songs somehow.
Not one, there are many.
Remote tap lite is free but I like Air Sharing and Mobile File Pro coz these are flawless and provide professional support.
Airsharing is one of them you can view and transfer MS office document, PDF,iWork, MP3,.MOV almost all kind of document and media files.
If you have iDisk subscription you can have Mobile Files Pro then you can, not only view files you can create MS Excel spreadsheet also with all the formulas. It turns into complete PDA.
I even make my presentation in Keynote on my iPhone and connect to projector and deliver important presentation.
