Suppose you could make your partner look like anyone you wanted...(btw, I'm not asking who it would be!)?
Suppose that we lived in a virtual reality where our bodies are only 3D models that we can change at any moment. How do you think this would change dating? Would you have sex with your best friends because each of you could decide to look like an extremely attractive celebrity? Do you think it would be easier or harder to find your perfect soul mate? Would you explore any bi-curiosities (lol), knowing that the person you are f--king is still a woman/man underneath?
Ive been musing lately for ideas for a short story. I love to hear any responses you might have.
How do you think this would change dating?
People would be able to find the type of relationship they are looking for much more quickly. It would also allow more serious relationships develop before you can actually see what the person looks like, so when actually meeting they are less likely to judge based on looks. Although infidelity might rise.
Would you have sex with your best friends because each of you could decide to look like an extremely attractive celebrity?

Do you think it would be easier or harder to find your perfect soul mate?
There is no such thing as a "perfect soul mate." It would be esier to find people with similar interests though, and ultimately form some type of relationship. Long distance relationships would also be much easier.

I almost threw up a bit. No I would not explore that.

How would you do this using a color camera? What does “normalized color space usage” have to do with depth sensors? In order to track each joint on a human body in 3d you need much more than just smoothing on a 2d image…
