Virtual Reality Device
a brain device or gadget that can turn your dreams and thoughts into movies?
i have heard such a device might excist but does anybody else know if it does, a device that can go back and replay evrey thought, memory and feeling from your past. and can manipulate any character into either just going over and viewing past memories but actualy making stories with these people i.e. old friends you havent seen in years etc almost like a dream a dream, fictional slight virtual reality feeling. or can someone recomend who i could ask and discuss this theory with, i.e. scientists that know of this technology or other discussion groups?

One method would be to use distributed nanobots less than a micrometer in diameter to spread throughout the brain and monitor the activation patterns of neurons. By this point, cognitive science will have advanced enough to know which neural activation patterns correspond to which sensory experiences. This has already been done with cats (using electrodes, not nanobots), where researchers led by scientist Garrett Stanley were able to extrapolate what a cat was seeing merely by monitoring the neurons of its visual cortex.

Will humans ever leave sex behind for "less messy" ways to procreate?
I know that humans probably will always have desire for sexual activities, but already in existence is a virtual reality device placed on the face that allows a person to "see" a partner. Electrodes are applied in 10-15 places on your body so you "feel" the weight and touch.
And the actual conception can be left to scientists and doctors.
Sex is not just for reproduction. Some people do have sex because they actually enjoy it and yes there are some that do it because they want to feel closer to that special person in their life. Me myself, I like sex. It is one of the greatest things on this earth.
