Will there ever be a .Hack// MMORPG?
I was wanting to know, because all of the games, mangas, and animes are simply awe inspiring. Seriously, if they made a .hack game like the series', then it would be 10000000X better than WOW - especially if it had the virtual reality goggles and everything like the anime etc. - Plus it would be so indepth and everything. It's simply just too amazing how good it would be.
Besides .hack//fragment, because I know that it ended about 4 years ago. What I mean't was will there ever be a .Hack// MMO again, only worldwide instead of just in Japan. Also, if so, then the people who make it should try to make it as close to the original design as in the animes and games. What I also want to know is why won't anyone even attempt it?
The .hack// project, as far as I know, is over. So I doubt they'll be releasing a true MMO.
There actually already was a .hack//ORPG. Not massively multiplayer, it was lobby-based, with parties of up to 3 characters, just like the games. It was called .hack//fragment, and it was released only in Japan. The servers were shut down late 2006, so it's actually already dead.

Bingo! This is exactly how Virtual Reality can be used in the real world!
What scenario do you have that is complex, dangerous, and expensive?
Virtual Reality is the answer. Thanks to Avatar for giving the public a glimpse at some uses for this paradigm shifting technology.
The future is now for those companies willing to think outside the box. The cost to create virtual training scenarios is significantly less than one imagines. If you have the 3D CAD data the cost is actually quite resonable.
Mike's team has shown the commerical world that this technology is here to stay. And that it will be making a huge impact in the months and years to come.
