    The only place that really had any VR room were arcades, and with the decline of arcades, VR just went with the arcade.

    VR were expensive. If you wanted to play in a VR game, you had to shell out something along the line of 5 bucks. At that time, arcade games were considered expensive at 50 cents a game, so you can see why VR games weren't popular.

    It's probably too expensive for the average person to have a VR setup. You need the VR helmet, the controller, the stage, etc.

    if i had a better PC, i am stil using Unreal Engine :(
